A Little About Vee Vee

My photo
I am a junior at Winthrop University, currently majoring in Illustration and also minoring in Spanish. I get scared sometimes about my degree choice because I like too many things, such as graphic design, various forms of art, astronomy, other sciences, etc. So I am working on straightening all of this out.

Intense State Of Confusion

The battle between my decision of graphic design or illustration continues... :(. I'm scared!!! Specialization Review is coming up in a FEW weeks and I am no where near ready!! I think I'm just going to opt to take it in August... I don't even know what I want my concentration to be. Do I want to be a graphic designer?? I don't know...I am interested in learning how to make websites, flash videos, and various other things.... but I also have a love for drawing which thus leads me to choosing the illustration field..... ay caramva! I'm also interested in tons of other things...but I can't do it all....money won't allow it!!! :(  So other than the confusion of what my major should be...I also have recently declared a minor in Spanish.... what the heck am I trying to do??!! But then again having a second language or third...would be very beneficial no matter what field I go into!  I'm having some serious trouble here..... I hate that I must have a "final" decision on what major I want to obtain a degree in.... so that I don't fall behind schedule...

If I stick with graphic design that means my craft has to improve majorly!! It must be pristine... If I switch to illustration, I have to learn how to paint and other things...I think illustration is more interesting...but there are parts of graphic design that really interests me too. So I am really stuck in the middle.....   I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!! I'M JUST LOST IN AN INTENSE STATE OF CONFUSION! (@o@)

No matter what you choose, it will all work out in the end- it always does! I suggest maybe scheduling a meeting in Dave Brown's studio and telling him thi stuff (if you haven't already talked with him) He's a pretty smart guy and he helped me a lot when I was thinking about transferring to SCAD. I'm praying for you and your big decision! See you in class :)
